Safety
Because we know that owners are concerned with the health and safety of their animals, we are committed to producing and distributing the safest products possible. Our fence rail products and their attachment mechanisms are designed and time-tested for safety. We want our customers to rest comfortably knowing that they have provided the safest environment possible for their animals.
We provide specially designed hardware for inside mounting of the fence rail, and use new bracing techniques to keep animals and people safe. Our attachment brackets fit virtually flush with the post, so there is less chance for injury. The smooth edged, rounded design of the tensioning spooler, coupled with the flexible surface of the rail ensure a safer atmosphere.
Although many options are available to today's fencing consumer, recent surveys have shown that continuous, plastic coated fence rail has the lowest reported number of injuries to animals and riders.
Material Comparison
Wood, the most common fencing material, has its drawbacks when discussing safety. It may begin to deteriorate and splinter. Animals chewing on these surfaces are open to injury. Also, animals contacting this type of a barrier may be injured on impact. Our plastic coated fence rail, on the other hand, offers more flexibility and shock distribution.
Woven wire is another fencing possibility. While more advantageous than board fencing, it does still present the opportunity for horses to become entangled and hang their shoes in the wire. Our flexibility feature significantly reduces incidences of entanglement.
Unlike smooth wire and electric wire or tape, we manufacture our fence to be easily visible. This prevents the chance for animal injury resulting from fence impact.
PVC fence, chosen as a fencing solution, must contain sun blocker/strength stabilizers and elasticizers for maximum safety, otherwise there is the risk of fracturing and splintering of the plastic creating an obvious hazard for animals. Our products are created to withstand sun and temperature changes, thus preventing these safety drawbacks.
Metal pipe fencing, in addition to its expense, runs the risk of loose joints which could lead to rail collapse and animal escape. Secure bracket attachment of our rail prevents mishaps of this type.
Whatever choice is made for your fencing needs, we hope that you have investigated our product and are confident of our commitment to safety. As no fence product is totally safe, there remains a potential for injury to livestock. Therefore, the manufacturer shall in no event be responsible for any injury to persons, livestock or personal property.
How Safe: These pictures show how Horserail can flex and not hurt your horse even when its legs get tangled in the fence. Not a mark to be seen.
